Longville, MN (February 11, 2025) The Grand Prix Ski-Doo de Valcourt was the home to Rounds 6 and 7 on the National Snocross Series.Ā Last season was the first time in several years the National Snocross Series has made the stop at Valcourt, Quebec and this year the Pro Class, Pro Lite, and Pro Women were headed to Quebec for two full days of high flying racing action.

SATURDAY: ROUND 6 (PRO)

To kick things off on Saturday, for Round 6, Triple Crown Round 1, Peterson was able to line up in the excellent 2nd place spot with earning the second fastest lap time in qualifying, and Bester lined up 9th. As the green light went for Round 1, Peterson and Bester ripped out of the gates on their Team LaVallee, Polaris, Red Bull sleds but were unfortunately pinched out and were sitting midpack in the 6th place spot (Peterson) and Bester back to 10th. At about the halfway point of the 8-minute plus one lap race, Peterson was working hard to move through traffic, while Bester was staying consistent. Peterson was able to secure the notable 6th place spot and Bester rounded out the top 10 in Round 1.

Under the lights for Round 2, Peterson lined up in the center, and Bester on the far inside. As the race began, both riders emerged side by side, mid-pack, quickly swapping positions within the first lap. Peterson was sitting in a solid 6th, and Bester in 10th. As the race progressed on and with two minutes remaining, Peterson got caught in a three-rider pile-up, dropping him to 10th place. However, this allowed Bester to navigate past the wreckage and move up to 5th. Bester kept up the momentum and finished Round 2 in an impressive 4th place, while Peterson ended in 9th. The incident had shaken up the points standings, setting the stage for an exciting Round 3.

For the final race of the day and as the green light went, Peterson and Bester rocketed out of the gates and with clean lines, Peterson was sitting in an impressive first place, with Bester right behind, staying on his heels. Peterson was eventually passed and dropped to 2nd, while Bester held strong in 4th. As we reached the halfway point, Peterson was maintaining his position in 2nd, and Bester was sitting in a solid 5th. With just a minute remaining, Peterson was black-flagged and ultimately disqualified for a broken ski tip, dropping him to 12th. Meanwhile, Bester kept up the pace and finished with a fantastic 5th place, securing a 5th place Overall in Round 6 for Bester and 11th overall for Peterson.

SUNDAY: ROUND 7 (PRO)

Peterson and Bester were looking for a little redemption from the day before in Valcourt and were on the hunt for holeshots, fast lines, and consistent finishes. Lining up next to each other for the first Pro race on Sunday, Peterson and Bester were off of the line mid-pack after another riderā€™s questionable jumped start. As the 8-minute-plus-1-lap race clock was ticking by, Peterson was sitting in 8th and Bester in 10th. At the halfway mark, Peterson had moved up to 7th, while Bester had slipped back to 11th. With just one lap to go, a wreck ahead allowed Peterson to avoid the chaos, moving up to the excellent 5th place spot. Bester continued to fight hard and rounded out the top 10, finishing in 10th.

Round 2 started out tough, with both riders coming off the line and getting pinched out towards the back. Peterson and Bester worked hard to find clean lines and gave it everything they had, but the night didnā€™t end as hoped with Peterson finishing in 12th and Bester in 9th. Peterson faced mechanical issues with his sled, which prevented him from racing at his full potential, ultimately cutting his night short in 12th place. Bester, however, continued to push through and managed to charge his way up to a solid 9th place finish.

For the final race of the weekend in Valcourt, Peterson had an impressive start, coming from the back row and rocketing his Team LaVallee, Polaris, Red Bull sled up into an impressive 3rd place spot, while Bester settled mid-pack. Throughout the race, consistency was key for both riders to maintain their positions. With two minutes to go, Peterson held strong in 2nd, while Bester had a small misstep, which dropped him back to 13th. Peterson fought hard and crossed the checkered flag in a remarkable 2nd place. Unfortunately, Besterā€™s race came to a tough end, finishing 12th overall and Peterson 6th overall for Round 7 in Valcourt.

PETERSON: 5-12-2 (6th Overall) BESTER: 10-9-13 (12th Overall)
