Longville, MN (December 20, 2016) – With a weekend off, it was time to get back on the road and head west, where the second stop on the ACS Snocross Series brought us to a new location set in the Beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains, at Colorado Adventure Park in Winter Park, Colorado. The new location, at 9,000+ feet of altitude, and the track being built on the largest tubing area, brought in new challenges and new motivation for both the crew and riders throughout the weekend.
Friday, Day 1 / Round 3 of racing Team LaVallee’s Pro Rider, Kyle Pallin had an awesome day of racing. Pallin rode smooth, smart, and strong. With great qualifying rounds, Pallin was able to skip the LCQ (last chance qualifier) and line up in the front row of the Round 3 Pro Final. Off of the start, Pallin found himself towards the front of the pack. With low visibility and in the midst of a blizzard, Pallin pushed through the adversity and was able to finish in an exciting 6th place. In Pro Lite, Zak Mason and grassroots rider, Evan Daudt were both riding strong. Mason just missed the Pro Lite final by one position, but Daudt was able to make it into the front row of the Pro Lite Round 3 Final. Off of the line, Daudt pulled a great start and was sitting in a top 5 position, with a few laps to go, Daudt had an unfortunate off and finished in the 13th spot.
For Saturday, the weather conditions improved and Team LaVallee was looking for redemption. Kyle Pallin had another day of awesome qualifying and found himself in the front row of the Round 4 Pro Final. Off of the line, Pallin ripped the holeshot and was sitting within the top 4. Throughout the race, Pallin was not able to hold his position and ended up finishing in the 11th place spot. In Pro Lite, Zak Mason and Evan Daudt both qualified for the Pro Lite Round 4 Final. Zak Mason finished in an awesome 8th place (coming from the back row) and Daudt rounded out the weekend in the 15th place spot.
Team LaVallee’s grassroots rider, Adam Peterson (Sport) sat out Rounds 3 and 4 of the season, as he is currently recovering from a concussion that was received in a Regional Race two weeks ago. Peterson is recovering just fine and is expected to return racing at the Shakopee, MN National in January. Update: Round 2 / Duluth’s National Race will now be made up at the Shakopee, MN National the first weekend in January extending the racing from a 2-Day National, to a 3-Day National with racing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, January 6-8th, 2017. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Team LaVallee!
